FEC requirements are hard for the Western Representation PAC to deal with:
In response to the June 18 2012 Request For AdditionalInformation (RFAI) with regards to the March monthlyreport (02/01/2012 - 02/29/2012), The committee respondsas follows:(1) The committee is continuing to develop abroader and economically feasible solution to contact all pastdonors who may have not provided certain elements of information.Given, among other matters,(a) the very large number of donors to this committee,(b) the variety of fundraising sources and processing platforms,(c) the many repeat small dollar donors who may or may notaggregate above the threshold,(d) the large number of donors by check,(e) the different ways in which donors may or may not enteror provide their information that creates duplicate entries inFEC File, and(f) the pace at which FEC File allows duplicate entries to bemerged within the software - requiring up to 7 minutes perentry - this process is ongoing. The Committee anticipatesbeing able to resolve this issue for all donors and reportsno later than the due date of its August Monthly report.(2) the itemized transactions are identified with the accountidentifier "Credit Card" in each entry. The Commission hasdirected the Committee to alter its record keeping process.Because the alteration requires significant manual data entry, and the Committee is seeking to correct this on all reports, this process is ongoing but estimated to be completed nolater than the due date of its August Monthly report.
Also, the dog ate our filing. But seriously, 7 minutes to merge duplicate entries?
